She is little sister, complicated, formidable, insatiable, magnetic, brave, Princess Warrior, twin sister, beloved, demanding, flower thief, broken, devoted Aunty, fierce, calamitous, precious, twisted sister, bruised, Wild Woman, frantic, heart sister, dazzling, vulnerable, hooked, difficult, teacher... Cherished.

She is no more.

Heartbroken family and friends are Willy, Michelle & Jim, Dayl & Grant, Heidi & Dallas, Brenda, Allana, and Debbie. In lieu of flowers, please donate compassionately and without prejudice to ANKORS, 101 Baker St., Nelson BC, V1L 4H1.

We will hold a service for our Cindy on Sunday, July 30th, at 1pm at the Trail Legion. Please bring pots, baskets, vases, and bouquets of flowers, which you can bring home afterwards. Let’s fill the room with color and life. We invite anyone whose life has been touched by the fentynal crisis to join us as we grieve this exquisite woman.

Cindy’s family wishes to extend blessings and praise to the Trail Ambulance attendants, who tragically witness and professionally respond to overdose victims; to Alex & Serge of ANKORS, who dedicate their lives to helping those who are marked by addiction; and to Gwen and Wally at Personal Alternatives Funeral Home, who so gently, and with much tenderness, tended our sister at the end.

“Your mouth closes here and immediately opens with a shout of joy there.”
