It is with profound sadness that I announce the death of my husband, Colin Payne. He died in the Nanaimo Regional Hospital on Saturday, April 19th, 2025.
Colin and his brother, Roy, (deceased) were born and grew up in Mumbles, South Wales. After graduating as a Civil Engineer, Colin emigrated to Canada in the late 1960's. He met his wife, Eileen, in Vancouver, and together they lived and worked in Powell River, Iran, U.S.A., and Port Alberni before finally retiring in beautiful Qualicum Beach.
Colin was an avid singer, sailor, golfer and gardener. He was also a Big Brother for many years. Colin had an endearing smile, and a kind and gentle manner.
He will be dearly missed.
