April 3, 1952 - July 20, 2022
It is with great sorrow and sadness that the love of my life, Colleen Bay, peacefully passed away on July 20th after a lengthy battle with Dementia.
Colleen is survived by her loving husband, Bill Pettigrew, and sons Chris Bay in Castlegar and Jason Bay in Vancouver.
Colleen was born in Rossland and lived in the city she loved for most of her life. She was an avid reader, fun loving and quick to laughter. She was a strong believer in giving back to the community, lending a helping hand to those in need and volunteering at many events over the years.
More recently, she was highly involved with St. Andrew's United Church and volunteered at the Rossland Thrift Store. Some of her hobbies included gardening, camping, cross country skiing, golfing and long walks along the nature trails in the Kootenays. Colleen was loved by all her knew her, and she will be sorely missed.
A special thanks to her long-time friend, Linda Grigg, who comforted her right to the end. Thanks also to the wonderful staff at Columbia View Lodge. Colleen will now join her mom and dad, Olive and Frank Emery.
