Dan passed away unexpectedly in Vancouver on July 21st, while traveling. He was 80. Predeceased by his wife Audrey of 48 years and his daughter Danna. He is survived by one son in Tokyo, one daughter in Victoria, his partner Yvonne in Duncan, his brother Merillo, many cherished nieces and nephews, and three loving grandchildren. Dan's quick smile, warmth and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 30th, 2011 at 2pm at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Nanaimo with visitation from 1pm to 2pm. Sands ~ Nanaimo.
