David was born in Rossland, BC and was called home to glory in Trail, BC
David Mason was a faithful servant of the Lord and man of many talents. Although he spent his working years as a teacher and school principal (mainly in Castlegar at Blueberry Creek Elementary), he spent all his years learning and developing new skills.
He was an experienced outdoorsman, skilled painter, wood carver, explorer and avid recycler. He taught himself how to build houses, from foundation through framing, electrical, plumbing and all other aspects. He was a true jack of all trades, but also a master of many.
Always there to help family and friends alike, embracing whatever the task at hand with a warm smile and encouraging words. He was involved with various church activities throughout his life as well and spent decades serving with Gideons International and The Salvation Army.
David was predeceased by his wife, Donna Mason (nee Barnes) and daughter, Shauna Mason-Legebokoff. He is survived by his son, Kevin Mason, and six wonderful grandchildren (two from Shauna and four from Kevin).
As an expression of sympathy, donations made in Dave's memory to ShareWord Global (formerly Gideons International) or The Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
