On Saturday, May 2, 2020, Donald H. Wild, loving husband and father of four, passed away at the age of 90. Don was born on March 16, 1930 in Montreal,QC to Harold and Elsie (Jarand) Wild. He acquired his Bachelor of Education from McGill University in Montreal and taught English and Social Studies, retiring in 1990. On April 19, 1960, Don married Joan Noela Tweeddale and then moved his young family to Trail, BC in 1967 where they raised two sons, Christopher and Andrew, and two daughters, Jennifer and Cheryl.
Aside from family, Don's greatest passion was music. For more than 40 years he played viola in various musical ensembles including The Kootenay String Quartet, The East Kootenay Chamber Orchestra, and The Rossland Light Opera Players.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Harold, his mother, Elsie, and his sister Dorothy (Kevin Jones). He is survived by his brother, Robert (Audrey), his wife of 60 years "Jo", children Christopher (Royanna), Jennifer Page, Cheryl Blayney (Curtis), Andrew (Dana), 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
