January 9, 1949 - June 23, 2018
Donald McLaren Ellison was born in Rossland on January 9, 1949 and passed away peacefully on June 23, 2018.
Don was a mentor, a friend, an architect, a writer, an artist, a chef, a musician, a comedian, a bridge player and teacher of bridge, and a much-beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. His design work can be seen in a number of buildings in Trail, Warfield, Castlegar, and Rossland.
Mourning his passing is his wife Laura, daughter Caleigh (Colin), grandchildren Mikayla and Daniel of Rossland, sister Janice (Roy) of Castlegar, brothers Cam (Carol) of Gibsons, and Clint (Janet) of Vernon, and also five nephews: Shane, Justin, David, Jamie and Patrick.
Thank you to the CVL staff for the care that they provided for the last year and a half of his life.
