Passed away June 9th, 2011 peacefully in the loving arms of his devoted wife Annie and surrounded by his family, after a valiant battle with heart disease.
Dad leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 53 years, Anne. Daughter Shirley (Alan Boon) and granddaughter Alanna, Son Ollie (Heather) and grandson Ryan, Son Michael (Laura) and grandchildren Zachary, Sara and Drew, and his four legged best friend Tuffy. He also leaves behind his brother Donald (Marcella), his little and only sister Shirley (Bep) Zanier, Brother in-law Vic Mattiazzi (Louise), Sister in-law Maria (Bob) Cummins, Sister in-law Debbie Mattiazzi (Shorty), as well an many special nieces and nephews, and his Aunts Nellie, Anne, and Yvette.
Predeceased by his parents, Olaf and Gertrude Tjader, his brother Ron (Nibs), his in-laws Vittorio and Agnus Mattiazzi and brother-in-law Ferro Mattiazzi.
Dad was born on May 28th, 1933 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
Dad’s love for the outdoors, animals, nature and prospecting was surpassed only by the love for his family. He was a quiet spoken man, with a kind heart who lived his life with a profound sense of values, it is those values that we his children admired the most.
At Dad’s request there will be no formal service, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In Dad’s memory, please remember him by helping someone you care about, a person, a pet or a stranger.
