May 20, 1929 - October 21, 2020
E. L. (Bud) Muffly, born May 20, 1929, passed away October 21, 2020. Bud is survived by Joyce, his wife of 64 years; daughter Pam Arlev (Tavi), son Dave (Joan); three grandsons: Chris Uri (Diane), Keith Muffly (Sandra), and Jake Muffly (Brittany); and three great-grandchildren: Aidan and Ciara Uri and Axel Muffly. He was predeceased by his son Keith.

Bud was born near Wenatchee, Washington and attended Washington State University
where he earned degrees in Forestry, Education and History. In 1960 he and his family moved to Rossland, BC, where he taught at the high school until his retirement in 1983. As a member of the Trail Wildlife Association, Bud was involved in some major projects, including the transplant of elk from Banff Park to the Kootenay-Boundary area.
In 1992, Bud and Joyce moved to Christina Lake where there is still a small herd of elk in their neighbourhood. Days filled with walks, fall hunting trips, and winter vacations in Cuba kept him young until he moved to Hardy View Lodge in 2019.
There will be no service: go for a walk, climb a mountain, go skiing, sit by a campfire and tell tall tales, or just raise a glass and remember the good times.
In memorial, donations in Bud's name may be made to Boundary Hospital.
Arrangements entrusted to the Baker Family of Grand Forks Funeral Home gffh@shaw.ca.
