It is with love and sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Ed (Papa) on August 23, 2010.


Ed was born in Eastview, Ontario on November 28, 1930 and served in the navy as Leading Seaman from 1950-1961 after which he became an electrician. He retired from his trade in 1992 after having worked on the BC Bennett Dam in Northern BC, Cominco, Toxco, the Keenleyside Dam project; as well as many homes and businesses. Ed loved to spend time with family and friends, tinkering in his workshop and helping friends and family solve electrical problems.


He is survived by his stepchildren Heather (Wayne) Underwood, Melissa (Rick) Marrandino, and David (Sara Jane) Thomson; his grandchildren Breeanne, Garrett, Paige, Charlie, Malcolm, Angus and Claire; his third angel Elaine Jones and his three children Pat, Tim and Bridgett; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his wife Madeleine, grandson Matthew, brothers Horace and Andrew, sisters Theresa and Marie, and his son Michael.


There will be no service at Ed’s request. Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
