SIDONI, ELISA (nee Matteucci) - Born March 15, 1930 in Trail, BC , Elisa passed away suddenly on April 5, 2012.

Of all mom's accomplishments, she was most proud of her family, and taught us that nothing was more important than family.

She leaves behind her heartbroken husband of 59 years, Albert (Dusty), her brother, Fred (Edna) Matteucci, 5 children, Debra (Mike) Boisvert; Sandra Cochran (Neil); Terry (Karen); Alan (Sandra); Kelly (Shannon); 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, Fiorvante and Ida Matteucci, and grandson, Christopher Boisvert in 2008.

Mom had an avid interest in hockey, playing on a women's team and was the #1 fan for all her sons and grandchildren, she rarely missed a game if she could attend both locally and on the road. She was a life long fan of the home town Trail Smoke Eaters team.

She was a member of the Sorelle Columbo and the Italo Canadese Lodges. She worked at Woolworths, Kresge's, Supervalu Bakery in Castlegar, and was the night shift supervisor at the Nelson Bros Fisheries in Prince Rupert where the family lived for many years. She was admired by many of her co-workers and friends for her abilities and leadership.

Mom liked to bake, garden, and did many crafts over the years. She volunteered for many activities and worthy causes over the years, giving generously of her time. Elisa was a fantastic civic booster being a very proud supporter of anything involving Trail. She was a lifelong supporter and season ticket holder of the Trail Smoke Eaters and her cow bell will be sadly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:30 am with Father Matthieu Gombo Yange OfmCap, Celebrant. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
