Ellen Jean Bortolussi (nee McKinnon) It is with heavy hearts we are sad to announce that she passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Ellen is survived by her loving husband and best friend Wayne, daughters Leanne(Hap), Andrea, Kristeen(Jason) and her much adored grandchildren, Isabella, Simone, Sebastian and Jackson. Also her brothers in Trail Don(Doreen), Robert(Joanne) and Garth(Laurie). Ellen was born to Scotty (Donald) & Irene McKinnon and raised in Trail(Sunningdale) BC. After receiving her diploma as a psychiatric nurse in New Westminster BC she returned to Trail and married Wayne on July 19th 1969.
She balanced many careers as a nurse, unit clerk(RGH ER) and later, insurance agent, While she raised her three beautiful daughters in North Delta. For the last 25 years Ellen enjoyed winters in Bucerias Mexico with dear friends and family as well as summers at their properties at Birch Bay Wash. and Christina Lake BC. Her beautiful smile and warm and friendly demeanor will be missed, remembered and loved.
