It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving uncle, Ernest (Foxy) Pagnan, who passed away peacefully at Rosewood Village on January 6, 2017 at the age of 91.

He is survived by his sister Gina (Elio) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers; Spuds, Chippo, Gino, Fritz and his sister Mary, with whom he shared a very special bond.

Etchie was born in Trail on May 31, 1925 and spent his entire life there. He grew up with his brothers and sisters on Rossland Avenue. He worked at Cominco until his retirement in 1984, but retirement didn’t mean the end of work for him! Over the years, he could be found at Safeway, Kate’s Kitchen, Ferraro’s and Woody’s Garage. He loved summers in Sioux Lookout, Ontario with his sister and family, feeding the geese and pigeons, walking the dogs or enjoying the sun at Gyro Park.

The family would like to thank everyone at Rosewood Village for their kind and compassionate care of Unc. In keeping with Uncle’s wishes, an outdoor celebration to honour his life will be held in the spring. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in Etchie’s name may be made to Kate’s Kitchen at 730 Rossland Ave, Trail, BC, V1R 3N3.

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence at the family’s online register at www.myalternatives.ca
