A long-time resident of Trail passed away peacefully with her family at her bed side at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on October 1, 2012. Evelyn was born October 14, 1914 in Trail, BC.
Her family was her life. Mom was the most unselfish person on the planet. Her love and concern for family and friends (some very special - Jan and Steph), her generosity with her time for whatever duty; babysitting, cooking you the most mouth-watering pasta, looking after her pets (which basically were our pets) and her constant worrying about the people she loved made her such a very special mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. A single mom, she also had to support a family and worked 30 years at Cominco. Mom we will deeply miss you and there is an emptiness in our hearts that cannot be filled. Her memories and laughter will forever be in our hearts.
Evelyn was predeceased by her parents Raffaele and Marianna DiPasquale; her sister Belgina Cusella and nephew Rudy. She is survived by her 2 sons; Gary (Janet) and Gene (Mary), grandchildren; Angela (Theo), Andrea (Steve) and Chad, great grandchildren; Jonah, Liam and Abigail, sisters; Eva and Mary (Bill), brother; Sandy and numerous nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Trail with Celebrant Father Jim McHugh. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Rossland. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
