Turner: Fay Helen (nee Robbins) passed away peacefully on the evening of October 1, 2010. She was 85 years old. Fay was born on October 23, 1924 in Bancroft, ON, and moved to both Ottawa and Montreal in her early adult life.

It was in Montreal where she met and married Gordon Turner, and before long, moved to Trail in 1944. They resided in Hanna Creek Road where she raised four boys. Fay loved a good challenge, and tackled a flood of crosswords and puzzles. She had an equal passion for the outdoors. Fay utilized her spare time to garden, enjoy long walks, and embrace the quiet, peaceful moments she found on the Turner property.

Fay was predeceased by her husband Gordon, her sons Donald and Charles, and her three sisters Joan, Joyce, and Yvonne. She will be missed by her long time companion and best friend Will Scott, sons Paul and Peter, seven grandchildren Kim (now Peterson), Kris (Kaip), Theresa (Niers), Marcie (DeBruyn), Ashley, Michael, Brian, and her eight great grandchildren.

A private ceremony will be held for close friends and family. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
