Frances Shubert, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, September 16th at Columbia View Lodge in Trail, B.C. Frances was born in Michel, B.C. in 1925 to parents Jim and Nellie Robertson. She married Paul Shubert on May 26, 1948. They were happily married for 63 years until his passing in 2009.
Family was always the most important part of Frances’ life and she loved to share her family stories with anyone who was willing to listen. She was loved for her feisty disposition and her kind and generous nature. We all knew we could count on her to be there for us through thick and thin. The values she taught us have enriched our lives and will stay with us for always.
Beautiful memories will be forever cherished by her two children Wayne (Ilo) and Kayla (Mitre), 4 grandchildren Christopher (Kristina), Garth, Amy (Clint), and Danielle, and 6 great-grand children—Ripley, Mackinley, Maddison, Ella, Georgia and Brielle, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Frances’ final few years were spent at Columbia View Lodge. The family wishes to thank the staff for their care and kindness towards her. We also wish to thank Dr. Rollie Phillips and Dr. Joseph Yo.
