It is with sadness that the family of Garnet Lepine announce his sudden passing on Friday, January 12, 2018. Garnet passed away peacefully with his family at his side.
Predeceased by his wife Lucille (Dilling), his parents, 3 brothers, one sister and numerous in-laws.
He is survived by his daughter Karen Grace and sons Corey (Jeanette) and Gil (Mary), grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother Carl (Helen) and Jean (Ron) Healey and brother in law Gene Dilling.
Garnet arrived from Saskatchewan in the mid forties to join his brother and started working for Cominco, where he remained until his retirement in the mid-eighties. He married Lucille Dilling in 1947 and had 66 years of marriage until her death in October of 2014.
Garnet's passion was his love of gardening, horses, fishing and his trips to the Flat Head hunting with his brothers and nephews. He revealed his competitive side when it came to a game of horseshoes, cards, softball and curling. He also spent many memorable day trips shopping with Carl and Ron in Coleville.
Cremation has taken place; a celebration of life will be at a later date.
