Gerald (Bugsy) Ferguson was born on January 19th, 1942 in Davidson, Saskatchewan and passed away on May 20th, 2018 at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bugsy worked at Cominco in Trail, the City of Rossland and Fording Coal in Elkford. He enjoyed his work, up until his retirement. Bugs enjoyed his time playing slow pitch, fishing, playing his guitar and song writing. He most of all enjoyed taking his dog Maddy for walks and visiting with people. He was good hearted to the homeless and donated when he could.
Bugsy is survived by his sisters Marilyn Samuelson and Sharon Hawkins (Garry), many nieces and nephews, his best friend Larry Profili, Goddaughter Darby and many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents Ruth and Thomas Ferguson and brother-in-law Sonny Samuelson.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no service by his request. Brent Long of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Servicest has been entrusted with arrangements.
