Gerry was born July 7, 1939 in Drumheller, AB. He passed away on February 27, 2021 in Trail, BC with his wife, Penny, by his side.
Gerry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Penny; his two sons, Tim (Tammy) and Ron; brother Ron; 7 grandchildren: Ryan, Tamerra (Kevin), Sean (Amanda), Dallas, Cody (Emily), Destiny, Katie (Jim) and 4 great-grandchildren: Lily, Shae, Luke and Miles.
Gerry was predeceased by his parents Joe and Lillian Loughlin, son Kenneth Joseph, daughter Shari Lilanne and sister-in-law Maxine Laughlin.
His work life began in Drumheller working in appliance sales and repair. From 1970-1979 the family lived in Golden, BC and Gerry worked for Motorola Radio Sales and Repair. From 1979 on, Fruitvale was home and Gerry worked for Cominco in communications until he retired.
Gerry enjoyed playing hockey and travelled to Switzerland in 1978 for the Old Timers World Hockey Tournament. He also enjoyed baseball and inventing.
