Cheers to Grace Rita Hall, a long-time resident of Trail and Christina lake, who very sadly, passed away on New Year's day in her 97th year from complications with pneumonia.
Grace was born on February 13th, 1926 in Port Arthur, Ontario. In 1949 she married Ron Hall and they moved to Trail where Ron worked for Cominco. They were residents of Warfield and in 1969 they purchased a summer cabin at Christina Lake. In 1989 they built their retirement home in place of the cabin and Grace and Ron enjoyed their life together at the lake until Ron's passing in 2003. Grace then went to live with her daughter Carolyn and son-in-law Richard and their three children in Fort Langley. In 2017 Grace, Carolyn and Richard moved to Christina where Grace lived lakeside until her passing.
Grace was predeceased by her husband Ron Hall and is survived by her children Bruce (Dana), Carolyn (Richard), Brian (Leigh) and Barry (Sheri). Grace enjoyed being Grandma Zee to 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Grace was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of life is being planned at the lake on the Sunday of the May long weekend.
