ODDY: Helen (Babe) of Trail, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2011 at the Columbia View Lodge. She was born on March 15, 1920 in Trail, BC.
She worked at Eaton’s in the men’s wear section, was an active member of the Eastern Star, was an Anglican Sunday School teacher, and camp counsellor. All who knew her respected her considerable talents with crafts, knitting, hardanger and cactus growing.
Helen is survived by her 2 daughters, Louise (Bert) Stromstedt and Arleen (David) Barnes as well as 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Maurice Oddy, sisters Alma Hurlburt and Lil Bonde, and brother Charles (Chuck) Rommerdahl.
