Herb McGregor, 85, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday Aug. 15 2017 with his 3 daughters at his bedside. Herb was born September 24, 1931 in Trail, BC. He lived his childhood and youth in the Trail/Fruitvale area and in 1971 bought his little piece of paradise on the Colulmbia River in Genelle. He worked at Cominco for 33 yrs until his retirement in 1986. Herb always enjoyed the outdoors, loved sitting on his deck with a set of binoculars at hand enjoying the view of the river, hunting, fishing, gardening, and tending to his chickens and various birds and animals that he would keep. Herb was a lover of dogs and could always be found with a faithful dog at his side.

Herb is survived by his 3 daughters; Patty (David) Palmer, Sharon (Mike) Conci, Janet (Sean) Maloney, 8 grandchildren; Raymond (Sue), Darryle, Michael (Amy), Tracy (Dean), Josh (Jenn), Scott (Esther), Caley, and Brianna, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters; Kay Wilson and Dawn (Vern) Steinke and numerous nieces and nephews. Herb was predeceased by his wife Norma, his parents Fred and Olive McGregor, and his granddaughter Corey Lynne Palmer.

A funeral service will be held on Monday,

August 21, 2017 at 10:00 am at “Carberry’s Chapel”, 1298 Pine Avenue, Trail with

Br. Jim Dooley officiating. Burial to follow at

Mountain View Cemetery in Rossland along with a luncheon at the Genelle Hall.
