Hildegard Louise Siemens

March 10, 1935 - November 4, 2019
Hildegard was born on a homestead in Gem, Alberta. She was the eldest child of seven born to John and Katie Wiens. The family relocated to Sumas Prairie, now known as Abbotsford, BC in 1943. Although she disliked the smells of the farm her job was to clean the dairy.
Hildegard and Walter met in 1953 on a school bus when he offered her his seat. They later went on to marry on June 16, 1955. A change in Walter's career had them relocating to Trail, BC with their 1 year old son in 1961. They committed to Trail for 2 years, however that 2 years morphed into 54 years until they moved back to the lower mainland in 2015 settling in Richmond, BC. Hildegard is predeceased by both her parents and brothers Ernie and Victor.
Hildegard will be greatly missed by Walter and her children, Byron (Karen), Ken (Karen), Barb (Victor) and Diana, plus her seven grandchildren, Korah (Kyle), Joshua (Brittani), Kaylee (Zack), Binita, Katie, Kenneth and Dulce.
Although she will be greatly missed we are comforted to know that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 10:30 am at the Towers Baptist Church, 10311 Albion Road, Richmond, B.C.
