Jack Douglas Bagshaw

November 7, 1929 - September 21, 2017

Was born on November 7, 1929 in Medicine Hat, Alberta and passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on September 21, 2017 at Rosewood Village.

He is predeceased by his first wife Paula, second wife Vivian, and his sons; Jack Douglas Jr. and Michael.

Doug is survived by his daughters Diane (Aldo) and Donna (Maggie & Tucker); daughter-in-law Lori; granddaughters Lindsey (Murray), Kirstie (Jeremy) and Haley (Mark); and great grandchildren Mackenzie, Brady and Dominic.

As a young man, Doug had a passion for flying planes. Some of his first dates with Paula were spent in small planes. Once they were married his passions changed from flying to family.

He dedicated his life to taking care of his family. He was an avid golfer and curler, but his favourite memories were made camping and fishing at Gray Creek with his extended family.

Doug was also a long time member of the Warfield Volunteer Fire Department and spent a few years as a Village Councillor.

Cremation has taken place; Gwen Ziprick of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence by visiting the family's register at www.myalternatives.ca

The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful caregivers of Rosewood Village.

They demonstrated an abundance of respect and affection for Doug and made his last years ones of quality.

As an expression of sympathy, your donations made in Doug's name to the BC Alzheimer's Society www.alzheimer.ca/bc would be greatly appreciated.
