Jack Tavaroli of Trail, British Columbia passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at the age of 74. After a private battle with cancer, Jack died peacefully with his family and grandchildren by his side.
Jack was born in Trail on June 1, 1947 to father Remo and mother Dora Tavaroli. The younger brother to sister, Beverley Tavaroli, Jack grew up in West Trail. Jack began working at Teck Cominco in 1966 and continued working until his passing. Jack's work was his passion; he holds the record for being Teck Cominco Trail Operations' longest ever full-time employee at 55 years, 229 days and a 40-Year Gold Medalist.
When Jack was not at work he could often be found enjoying a coffee with his friends, tossing a ball at the Glenmerry Bowling Alley, entering a sports draft and travelling to a ball game or concert. Jack always found time for his family spending time watching & coaching his son's sporting events, friends, and co-workers.
Jack is survived by his long-time partner Annie (Bev), sister Bev; his sons Michael (Jan), Pat, and Brian (Aimee); his grandchildren Jessica (Jay), Brooklyn, Teagyn, and Harper. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Marie.
Per Jack's wishes there will be no service a small celebration of Jack's life will take place at a later date.
