In loving memory ~
Minor, James "Jim" Richard of Vulcan, beloved husband of Christa for 53 years, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, AB, on December 7, 2022, at the age of 76 years, after a 4-year battle with cancer.
Born in Magrath, AB, Jim relocated to Trail, B.C., to start his family. There, he was active in the community as a member of the Greater Trail Health Council for 7 years as well as the Rossland Rotary President. He discovered Vulcan in 2012 and became active in that community as well. Jim and his wife were Arizona snowbirds for over 12 years, only stopping when COVID hit.
An active golfer, hunter, skier, and curler, he nurtured a love for the outdoors with his family. He was a man of many trades, winding up the last 10 years of his career as a successful real estate agent. He was both a jokester and a man with a generous heart and will be missed by many.
Besides his loving wife Christa, Jim is survived by his two daughters Yvonne and Sheri, four grandchildren Taylor, Brianna, Sierra, and Brooklyn, two sisters Donna Dirr and Janet Risk and four brothers Bob, Neal, Ron, and Jay. He was predeceased by siblings Fred Minor and Susan Cardinal.
A service will be held at the end of March 2023 with details provided at a later date.
Tributes in Jim's memory can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 1331-29 St. N.W., Calgary, T2N 4N2 or www.albertacancer.ca.
