After a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Janine Christine Kambick, of Genelle, passed away peacefully at Rosewood Village in Trail B.C, with her spouse at her side on May 24, 2012 at the age of 55.

Janine is survived by her common-law spouse Darrin Falat, her sister Sally Bowyer (Jeff), her daughter April Lynn Kosar (Jeff), two grandchildren Brandon Kosar and Jasmine Kosar as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her parents Jackie and Bill Kambick, and grandson Nicholas Kosar.

Janine was born on Jan 5, 1957 in Rossland B.C. She worked as a waitress and bartender for many years. Janine was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2003. In 2007 she was placed in Alpha House and then Rosewood Village in 2008.

Janine enjoyed many activities. Her favourites were going downtown for coffee to visit friends, and trips to Gyro Park. Janine had many friends, and made new ones where ever she would go. Her beautiful smile and sweet laughter would light up any room.

The family would like to express their most sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, care aids and staff who cared for Janine at Alpha House and most recently Rosewood Village. Many of these people gave a personal touch towards her care.

There will be a memorial service for Janine on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services, 1298 Pine Avenue, Trail, BC with a reception at 12 noon at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 11 at 2141 Columbia Avenue, Trail.
