Jean Ann May, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at Waterford Care Centre in Tsawwassen, BC on February 11, 2022 at the age of 94.
Jean was born in Kaslo, BC in 1927 into the large Hendricks family. She went to school in Nelson where she met and married her love, Walter Taylor.
The couple moved to Trail where they raised their family of four boys. The couple was very community minded and supported many charitable organizations. Still, Jean would say that her greatest accomplishment was her family.
Jean will be greatly missed by her surviving four sons: Robert (Violet), Don (Jill), Terry (Judy), Warren (Betty), five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter and her daughter-in-law Patty. She was the last of her parents' children outliving her three brothers and two sisters.
We would like to thank the staff at the Waterford Care Center for their exceptional care of Jean during her last years. The family will gather for a memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to a community charity.
