Jean Valentine Downie passed away quietly on December 15, 2011 in the Special Care Home at the Pines in Kimberley, British Columbia where she was having rehabilitation after an injury a month ago.
She was the beloved wife of Guy Downie for 66 wonderful years. She also leaves to mourn her, the family she was so proud of, sons Todd, Roderick, Charles and Noel and their families, her dear brother Alex, and a whole host of dear friends who will miss her greatly. She was a kind, compassionate and generous lady. There are no words to express our loss, but she had great faith in her God, and will rest in peace.
She loved flowers all her life, but we request none. She will be cremated and her memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley at 1:00 pm.
