In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that the family of Jeanette Ruth Ashworth announce her passing on July 15th 2022 with her family by her side.
Jean was born in Trail, BC, grew up in Fruitvale and attended high school in Trail. Jean spent many winters in Mesa, Arizona where she met John Cheney and they continued to enjoy canyon hikes, playing seniors tennis, softball, dancing and social life. Jean loved gardening, hiking local mountain trails, huckleberry picking and participating in BC Senior Games in tennis.
Jean will be sadly missed by her partner John Cheney, Daughter Colleen (Jim) Rodger, Son Grant (Karen) McNamee, Son Gerald McNamee (Kerry MacInnis); grandchildren: Whitney, Cameron (Amanda) Rodger, Ben, Jake and Ayden McNamee and great-grandchildren; Danica, Abigail, Bailey and Adriana.
Jean was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Margaret Dovey, brother Bruce Dovey, and husbands Ronald McNamee and Donald Ashworth.
