Jerry Ihas, a long-time resident of Trail, passed away peacefully with his children at his side on July 17, 2017 at Rosewood Village. Jerry was born on December 2, 1947 in Fernie, BC.
Jerry worked most of his life in the auto parts industry. He loved to fish, was an avid sportsman, but he especially loved watching his grandchildren in their various activities. Jerry was known for his laughter, jokes and having a nickname for everyone.
He is predeceased by his parents Kelly and Gina, sister-in-law Harriette, and is survived by his children Kelly (Bryan) Teasdale and Kevin (Michele) Ihas, his loving grandchildren; Abbegayle, Olivya, Jesse and Emmie, his brothers Jimmy (Gail) and Jack, many nieces and nephews and his special love Carol Madge.
The family would like to thank the Rosewood Village staff for the attention and love given to our dad over the years.
There will be a private family gathering at a later date. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence at the family’s online register at www.myalternatives.ca
