In loving memory ~
On February 6, 2023, Jo-Ann Glover got her wings and went to walk with the angels." After a long battle with Alzheimer's, she rejoined her heavenly family. She was 81 years old, just shy of her 82nd birthday.
Jo-Ann Naccarato was born in Trail, BC in 1941 and married the love of her life Edward Glover on October 14, 1961. She got married, had children and lived in the basement of the family home on Nelson Ave until they moved 4 doors down on the same street.
She had a great love for her family and she loved animals. She would entertain family and friends and you could always find her baking and cooking with her mom Annie Naccarato.
She worked at Cominco in the research library as a typist but took a break from work to raise her two children Davie and Rhonda. Jo-Ann loved kids so much that she decided for the next 10 years to work at Central Elementary as the noon hour Supervisor. She would talk about how much she loved being around the kids watching them play and have fun. It made her smile.
Every day Davie and Rhonda remember their 'Ma' dancing and singing to her favourite artist, Elvis. Her family was very involved in the community of Trail, her dad Mike Naccarato was a founding member of Colombo lodge and she was a member of "Sisters of Colombo". She was the epitome of the "the Italian and Scottish of Trail."
Jo-Ann is survived by her husband Edward and son David (Janine) and daughter Rhone (Lindsay).
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Rosewood Village for their kindness and compassion for her over the last 3 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrant. Andreas Schmitz of Clark's Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
