It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Joan Catherine McQuary, on November 11, 2011.
Joan was born on October 1, 1932 to Violet and Paddy van Weyenbergh in Schaunavon, Saskatchewan.
Joan liked to knit, read, garden and bake. Her famous home-made bread will be remembered by all that were fortunate enough to taste it. Joan’s family was her greatest love and she was thankful every day for their well-being and many accomplishments.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Erle, daughter Carol, son Darrell (Trina) and grandchildren Michael (Merhya), Christopher (Krista), Erik (Marie) and Timothy, great-grandchildren Taylor and William.
Joan was predeceased by her parents, sister Jeanette and daughter Shelley.
To honour Joan’s wishes, there will not be a funeral. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
