Joanne Theresa Jenkins (nee Logelin), 66, passed
away in Vancouver, B.C. on January 8, 2017, with
her family by her side. She was born in Trail, B.C.
on October 14, 1950 daughter to the late Joseph
and Anne Logelin. Joanne is survived by her
loving children Emily (Gary) and Ben; grandson
Sebastian; sister Brenda; brother Patrick (Gayle);
niece Veronica; and nephew Joseph. During her
career, Joanne was a passionate teacher and
obtained her master’s degree in special education
from the University of Oregon. She loved her
role as an educator and the opportunity that it
provided for her to serve others and optimize
children’s learning experiences. She will be
remembered for her loving nature, generosity
and quiet, yet determined strength. We love you
and will always carry you in our hearts. A funeral
service will be held on Friday January 20, 2017
at 5:00pm – Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 555 Slocan
