Michel, Joel — Suddenly in Holland on August 13 2013, missionary to the Netherlands, Joel Michel age 26 was called to return to our Lord. He lived his dream, however brief, and for that we rejoice in The Lord.
Joel’s life touched and blessed many lives here at home, across North America, and in Holland... we rejoice in The Lord for he is good.
Joel is survived by his beloved wife Collette Michel. Loving father of Annita (4), Timothy (2), and Annalise (10 months). Loving son of Harry and Peggy Michel of Blackstock, Ontario and son-in-law of Pat and Gladys Callaghan of Fruitvale, British Columbia. Loving grandson of Bert and Corry Michel of Raglan, Ontario. Loving brother to Rosemary, Will and Maegan, Sharon and Josh, Faith and Jason, Luke and brother-in-law to Arine and Michelle, Carolyn, Pat and Christy, Cathy and Chris. Loving uncle to Kristin, Wilson, Noah, Titus, Hope and John, Dean, DeeAnna, Melissa, Micheal, Violet, Colin, Maya, Carter. Absent from the body, present with The Lord.
Friends and family were received at Faithway Baptist Church (1964 Salem Rd N) in Ajax on Monday, August 26 at 5-9pm. A service to celebrate Joel’s life will be held at Faithway Baptist Church on August 27th at 11am, luncheon to follow. Public interment will be held at Thornton Cemetery at 2:30pm.
