Joe Catalano passed away peacefully, from Alzheimer’s disease, with his family by his side. Dad spent the last 16 months of his life at Rosewood Village.

Joe was born in Trail, BC on April 28, 1933.

You would find Joe working in his yard, making wine, curling, golfing, swimming and just hanging out with his buddies. His favourite time was at Deep Lake with his family. He was a member of the Colombo Lodge and The Royal Canadian Legion. When he was 18, he won a trip across Canada with the Sea Cadets. He worked for Canadian General Electric for 42 years.

Joe is survived by his wife, Nora, of 60 years, his children, Toni (Ray) Kushner, Teri (Henry) Del Bucchia, and Chris Catalano. He is also survived by his Grandchildren, Dina (Jason), Andrew (Helen), Danny, Hanna, and his new great granddaughter Sophia.

He is also survived by his sister Rose (Ray) Civitarese), sister-in-law Tommy Catalano, and many great nieces and nephews. He loved them all.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, Rocco and Digna and his brother Sev, and his little cat, Bush.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 24th, 2013 at 11:00 am, at the Trail Royal Canadian Legion Branch #11. Al Gywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
