February 24, 1924 - September 22, 2020
John passed away peacefully with his nephew Ken at his bedside on September 22, 2020 at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital at the age of 96. John was born in Prawda, Manitoba on February 24, 1924.
John and his wife Dolly lived in various places throughout their marriage including Ontario and Saskatchewan, settling in BC in 1978. John worked in the bush, later on a diamond drill and was a professional welder/pipefitter. He also owned Pineland Transfer for a number of years.
He was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Katherine, his loving wife Elizabeth (Dolly), daughter Arlene, sisters Stella and Jessie, brothers; Walter, Bill and Eddie, nephews Brian and Ken, great-nephew Daniel, brothers-in-law; Ted, Les and Mike and sisters-in-law Marie and Dorothy.
John is survived by his sisters Mary and Julia, his brother Bob (Dorothy), sisters-in-law Irene and Virginia Pineau and numerous nieces and nephews.
No service will be held by request. Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation ServicesTM has been entrusted with arrangements.
