POROZNUK: John of Trail passed away suddenly at Kelowna General Hospital on March 5, 2011. John was born January 29, 1929 in Wroston, Sask.
He logged and owned/operated a gas station in Horsefly, BC as well as a variety of jobs from Chilliwack to Salmon Arm and finally to Trail in 2005.
John is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary, son Bob (Faye), grandchildren, Roberta (Rob), Grant (Brenda), Linda and Kathy (Mark) great grandchildren Zackery, Brodie, Brianne, Chelsea, Megan and Rebeckah and brother Max (Kathy). He was pre-deceased by his brother Tom.
By his request there will not be a service. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with the arrangements. Donations made in Johns name to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation, East and West Kootenay, Box 3023, Castlegar, BC V1N 3H7 would be appreciated by the family.
