Our Beloved John Battey Passed Away Peacefully Feb 21 2021, with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with dementia at 81 years old. Raised in Rossland his first job at 14 years old was delivering milk to Rossland residents.
Following he took employment at Cominco with his multi skills until retirement after 40 years. A kind thoughtful hard working man who greeted all who touched his life with a smile. He truly liked everyone.
Family came first, anything for Carole and their three sons. Sharing his knowledge, teaching the boys life long skills always with patience. John had a life long passion for horses and the Western lifestyle. A cowboy to the end sporting jeans, plaid shirts, cowboy boots and of course his sunglasses.
Left to cherish his memory, wife Carole of 60 years, sons Dwayne (Deb + Family), James (Angel), Grandson Christopher (Tessa + family), Great Grandson Mason, Richard (Debbie, Linsey), sister Annette, brother Allan, nephew Daryl (Pam), and many extended family and friends both here and in the U.S.A.
We wish all are as blessed as we were to have a husband and Dad like John. He was the "Best of The Best"
FOREVER LOVED UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
