SLYWKA, Josephine (Jo), a long-time area resident, passed away on June 17, 2016 at Castleview Care Centre. She was born in Saskatchewan on April 14, 1920.
She was predeceased by her husband Bill and her daughter Joanne.
Jo was actively involved with Girl Guides for over 80 years. She was very involved with community events in Warfield, particularly with children’s crafts and activities and was Warfield’s Citizen of the Year in 2001. As an Air Force Veteran, she was a long-standing member of the Trail Royal Canadian Legion.
A Legion Service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 11. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
