February 9, 1947 – April 1, 2022
In loving memory ~
It is with much sadness, the family announces the passing of Karen at Columbia View Lodge on April 1, 2022, with her family at her side.
She will be precious in the memories of her husband Bob, daughter Kelly Hamilton (Tim), grandchildren Tim Jr (Kelsie and family), Jacob, and Angela (Cole), sister Kim Osmond (Ozzie), nieces, nephews, and families. Karen was predeceased by her parents Ron and Donna Stenstrom and In-laws Ben and Jean Seifrit.
Karen was raised in Trail, enjoyed her school years and many lifelong friendships. Her family embraced the Kootenays camping, boating, and lake life.
Karen and Bob’s life experiences took them from Casino, to Pine Point NWT, Alberta, and back to BC settling in Fruitvale. In later years, enjoyed their lake cabin at Deer Park, where Karen made sure the beach was immaculate with sand sifted and raked to perfection! Her family were the stars in her eyes, spending every spare moment, embracing every activity or event building lifelong memories, the best being toes in the sand.
Karen’s vibrant spirit touched many hearts on her journey. Cherished memories of joy and laughter will live on forever with family and friends.
“Gone are the days we used to share but, in our hearts, your always there”
The family would like to thank the staff at Columbia View Lodge and Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital for their support and care.
