Kathleen was born on January 12, 1946 in Kimberley, BC and passed to her eternal rest March 8, 2022 in Trail, BC.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Levina Johnson, and her brother Phil.
Kathleen is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Bob, daughter Allison, son Greg, granddaughters Alexis (Cody) and Kate (Kris), great granddaughters Lilith and Mazikeen, brothers Ed and Stephen (Jennifer), and a myriad of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Kathleen was... My mother. My mom. How do I sum up her life in a paragraph? She navigated her way through the male dominated management of the Bank of Montreal and ended decades of work there as a Personal and Commercial Loans Manager.
Her faith led her to deep involvement with the Catholic Church, meeting lifelong friends and helping others, including taking over the position of librarian at St. Michael's School after her retirement from the bank. And though her health declined in her later years, her faith still shone brightly until the end.
My mom was active on different boards through her life, and volunteered with the Katy Shaw Highland Dancing Club, and the Fruitvale Figure Skating Club. All of this, though, everything my mother did, was inspired by her love of family. Of us. Her devotion to her family was unwavering until the end.
