Ken was born the youngest of 4 to a loving mother, Avelina and father, Roy Casley. He was born in New Denver September 13th 1930 and left us in New Denver October 19th 2010.

Ken was a well respected member of the community. He held many positions through-out the community and he wormed his way into many hearts in his own special way. He volunteered and donated openly, behind the scenes, and anonymously especially when it would benefit the youth of the area. Ken was known by many names Ken, Kenny, Dad, Grandpa, Gramps, Great Grandpa, Uncle Kenny, and when he’s in trouble William Kenneth Casley.

His family was his world. Ken was predeceased by his parents and his sister Gloria DeGuglielmo.

He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by, his wife of 55years Bev, his children Clinton (Mady) of Roberts Creek, BC, Rhonda (Alvie) Bouillet, Ernest, Leonard (Heidi) all of New Denver, BC; grandchildren Jennifer (Konrad) Young, Brad (Alexandra) Hashimoto, Ryan (Miriam) Casley, Teresa (Kieth) Steenhoff, Cathleen Olson, Virigina(Lonny)Mooy, Dale(Paige) Hashimoto, Keith(Heather)Casley, Brent Olsen, Mitch Olsen and Mercedes Casley; 14 great grandchildren and two more on the way; sister Alice MacLaren and brother Roy; along with numerous family including brother-in-laws , sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Rosary will be said on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 7:00 PM from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church continuing with Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Father David John as Celebrant. Cremation has taken place at the Nelson Crematorium.
