January 25, 1946 – February 27, 2019
BRANDT, Larry Wayne – passed away on February 27, 2019 at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. He was born on January 25, 1946 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Larry worked at Teck/Cominco for 39 years. He enjoyed playing hockey with the Trail Old Timers, golfing, fastball and spending time at Christina Lake. He loved watching Riley play hockey and Tessy play hockey and fastball.
He is survived by his sons Shawn (Liz) Brandt and Shayne Brandt, his grandchildren Riley and Tessy Brandt, his partner Pat Gagne and her children Diane (Kyle) and Gina (Trevor) and grandson Grayson. He is also survived by his brother Don (Judy) Brandt, his sisters; Dee (Les) Brewer, Cheryl (Richard) Bell and Shannon (Ken) Hill, his brothers-in-law; Tom (Janice) McLean, Kimba (Tanis) McLean, Colin (Susi) McLean and many nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his father Al Brandt, his mother Eileen Brandt, his wife Sharon Brandt, mother-in-law Audrey McLean, father-in-law Ken McLean, brother-in-law Kenny McLean and great-nephew Stanley McLean.
A Celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Trail Memorial Centre Gymnasium with Gwen Ziprick, Celebrant. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
