Laurence (Larry) Dale Clark of Fruitvale, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on November 16, 2011 at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC.

Larry was born in Vancouver on August 28, 1944. Life took him to many different locations including Calgary and the Edmonton areas before he retired to Fruitvale in May, 2009.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Leigh, her sons Chris and Scott, foster daughters Shauna Lee (Mike) and Susan, and five grandchildren. He also leaves behind many friends who mourn his loss.

Larry loved to travel and was fortunate to have enjoyed many cruises as well as landlocked vacations with Leigh and friends. Larry was also passionate about boating. He enjoyed ocean boating in his younger days, but after a 25 year hiatus, he was beyond ecstatic to acquire another boat. His boat was his pride and joy and he spent many happy hours cruising and fishing on the Arrow Lakes with friends, family and even the dogs. He also loved exploring and photographing the Kootenays.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. F. Dryden and to the staff of the KBRH ICU for going above and beyond in their care and treatment of Larry.

At Larry's request no formal services will be held. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Larry's name to Simon House at 5819 Bowness Road NW, Calgary, AB T3B 0C5.
