The family of Leo Vincent Mailey sadly announces his passing on April 8, 2021 in Trail, BC. He was born January 26, 1932 in Trail, BC to John and Norah Mailey.
Leo was predeceased by Eileen, his wife of 66 years, his beloved son Ron, siblings: Nora, Mary, Martha, Maggie, Jimmy, Johnny and Danny.
Leo is survived by his children Mike (Joy), Rick (Terry), Gordon (Janice), Donna (Dale), and Sharon (Dave), 13 grandchildren: Doug, Jolene, Natasha, Ryan, Scott, Cindy, Laci, Erin, Dean, Dakota, Naomi, Skye, and Ridley, 15 great- grandchildren and his brothers Kevin and Owen.
Leo worked at Cominco (Teck) up until his retirement in 1990.
In his earlier years, dad played baseball and hockey. As well as vacationing at Christina Lake and Nakusp, Leo enjoyed his annual hunting trips to the Flathead River Valley with his sons and friends Bob and Ric.
Dad will be remembered for his endless repetitive stories and great sense of humour. He thoroughly enjoyed the company of his wonderful neighbours Andrew & Michelle and Jeff.
Due to current COVID restrictions, there will be no funeral service. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation ServicesTM has been entrusted with the arrangements.
