December 4, 1935 - February 17, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, nonna, and bis nonna. Lilliana passed away peacefully at Columbia View Lodge, in Trail, BC.
She was born in San Martino al Tagliamento, Italy and immigrated to Canada in January 1938 with her mother and sister.
Lilliana is survived by her daughters Ivy (Dovilio), Denise, Brenda (Paul), Vivian (Lorne), 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sisters Anita Bressanutti and Eileen Pedersen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Sergio, daughter Lora, son-in-law Kerry, and her parents Eleonora and Umberto Truant.
Lilliana's pride and joy was her family, cooking multi-course meals, organizing the annual family springtime bonfire, and hosting many barbecues and picnics much to the delight of her kids and grandkids. She was a creative seamstress who designed some of her own haute couture (Signa) fashions. She also spent time crocheting, tending to her flower garden and reading detective novels in order to satisfy her childhood dream of becoming a super sleuth. She was an active member of the San Martino Club and Sisters of Colombo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Trail, with Father Francis de la Cruz, Celebrant. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation ServicesTM is entrusted with the arrangements.
