February 22, 1943 - June 18, 2025
In loving memory ~
Linda Thalia Scoffham (Lloyd), a beacon of kindness and selflessness, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, at her home in Rossland, BC, surrounded by loved ones. Born on February 22, 1943, in the seaside town of Llandudno, Wales, Linda was a daughter to Marjory and Leslie Houghton. She brought light and wisdom into the lives of all who knew her, living a life that was a testament to her strong Christian faith.
Linda's journey led her from the shores of Wales to the heart of England, where she dedicated herself to the study of physiotherapy. Her passion for helping others through her work was evident to all who met her. In August 1974, she crossed the ocean to settle in Trail, BC, with her first husband Geoff Lloyd, where she became a cherished member of the community. Linda's expertise and compassionate nature quickly earned her the position of Director of Physiotherapy at Trail Regional Hospital, a role she held with distinction, improving countless lives through her care and dedication.
Throughout her life, Linda was surrounded by a loving family. She was a sister to her surviving brother, David Houghton, and shared her life with her late ex-husband, Bill Scoffham. Linda's legacy lives on through her devoted children, Sarah Fayant, married to Steven Fayant, and Colin Scoffham, married to Janine Scoffham. Her grandchildren, Aydin Fayant, Adrienne Fayant, Jimmy Scoffham, and Stella Scoffham, will carry forward the wisdom and kindness she instilled in them. She was also a cherished aunt to her nieces, Laura Lomer and Julia Houghton, and their families.
A service will be held at St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Trail, BC, on June 30, 2025, at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew's Anglican Church or the SPCA.
