March 16, 1980 - November 4, 2024
In loving memory ~
Lindsay Christine Danchella (nee Batts) passed away tragically November 4, 2024, in her 44th year.
Surviving this tremendous loss are young son Matthew, Mom Dale, Sister Kelsey (Steve), Uncle Tom, Aunt Lorraine and family, and many special friends. She was predeceased by Dad Terry in 2022.
Lindsay was born on March 16, 1980, in Vancouver, BC and raised in Richmond. Following graduation from Hugh McRoberts Secondary in 1998, she obtained her nursing degree from Douglas College and later received her Bachelor of Science through the University of Victoria.
Lindsay's nursing career began in the Cardiology Unit of Richmond General Hospital where she remained for many years and retained numerous lifelong friendships. Being a dedicated nurse, Lindsay looked for ways to make her patients' stay comfortable each day.
In 2018, Lindsay relocated to the welcoming community of Montrose, BC, and continued her profession as the Patient Care Coordinator of the surgical unit at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. Her final position was that of Community Care Coordinator for Trail Home Health Services, Interior Health Authority.
Lindsay was raised with a great respect for the outdoors and loved time spent at the family cabin on Missezula Lake, 'her go to place', where she could appreciate the mountains, lakes, sunsets and wildlife.
At home in Trail, the weekends were spent with her precious little Matthew- swimming lessons, playing with friends, baking chocolate chip cookies, playing in Noni's Park (his favourite place to visit), or just enjoying a Mom and son cuddle time with his stuffy 'Cow'.
Lindsay's greatest joy and accomplishment was her little guy Matthew, who lit up her life always.
To the City of Trail and neighbouring communities, especially Montrose families, friends and colleagues throughout BC- a sincere expression of gratitude. We will forever cherish your kindness, compassion and support of our family during this most difficult time.
Our family wishes to acknowledge Mr. Bill Clark and his dedicated staff of Clark's Funeral Services for their kindness and respect of our loved one, Lindsay.
There will be no service at this time. Bill Clark of Clark's Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence at the family's online register at www.clarksfuneral.ca
