Lloyd was born in Duck Lake Saskatchewan March 9, 1928 to Walter and Corrine Carlson and moved to Trail with his family at the age of 12 years old.

He was predeceased by his wife Georgina (Geannie) and sister Joyce. Lloyd will be dearly missed by his family, his sisters Doreen 'Chick' Clark (San Jose. 'Geannie' and Lloyd met in high school. Throughout their life together family was very important. They provided many a welcoming meal and comfort to loved ones in their home. Other pastimes they shared included camping, dancing and socializing.

Lloyd was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing all his life. He enjoyed spending summer days tending his large garden and orchard, providing an abundant of produce for his family and friends. He also took great pleasure looking for treasure with his metal detector with his grandkids and great grandkids.

Lloyd gave his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren an appreciation for what the universe has gifted us; the earth, animals, water and nature. He was never so comfortable and at peace as when he was surrounded by the natural world.
